THE closing date for a competition calling on designers, students and architects to revolutionise seaside architecture is fast approaching.
On September 22 Bathing Beauties, an international competition for Seaside Architecture will stop accepting entries for 21st-century beach huts.
The challenge was set by artist Michael Trainor, after being commissioned by Lincolnshire County Council to develop a coastal art project.
To enter, designers must submit a scale model of their beach hut which will be exhibited and the judged by a panel of architects.
Winners, to be announced on September 29, will build and install their hut and as of next summer they will be available for hire from the council.
