IT IS Migraine Awareness Week and this year's event is focusing on employment.
The Migraine Trust is campaigning for changes in sickness policy after a recent poll of migraine sufferers found 62 per cent had been discriminated against at work regarding their migraines.
The trust aims to highlight what both employers and employees can do to improve the situation.
An information pack has been put together called Working with Migraine with tips on simple changes to the workplace which can reduce the chance of employees getting migraines.
A Best Employer Award scheme is being held to recognise companies who are taking steps to help sufferers.
