AN MBE and police committee member has been banned from working with children after sexually assaulting a teenager.
Jamnadas Sudra kissed and touched the 15-year-old girl who was in his shop in Church Row, Chislehurst.
The offences occurred once on November 26, twice on December 3 and twice on December 10 last year.
Sudra, who was made an MBE in December 1996 for services to the community, received a five-year supervision order, three years on the sex offenders register and was ordered never to work with children again at Croydon Crown Court yesterday.
The father of two had pleaded not guilty to the five counts of sexual assault when he appeared at the court on August 10.
Sentencing was postponed until yesterday to enable the probation service to prepare a report into the 69-year-old member of the Bromley Police Community Liaison Committee.
