PUPILS past and present have been invited to celebrate 50 years of schooling at a birthday bash.
Eltham Green School, which became one of the country's first mixed-sex comprehensives in 1956, will celebrate its half-century landmark with a party on Saturday.
Revellers can gather at the Queenscroft Road site between 12.30pm and 5.30pm for a tour of the building and then for a buffet and party and between 8pm and 11pm.
School governor Tony Pretty said: "This is an excellent chance for the school to make contact with past pupils and gain their support for the future."
Cheques for tickets to the event, costing £13, should be sent to Sheila Hulyer, 57 Brewery Road, Plumstead, London, SE18 7PX.
