IN AUGUST Joydens Wood Women's Institute held its produce show where member's brought in plants, fruit and vegetables, which they had grown.
There were also flower arrangements, bread and cake on display.
The member with the highest points was Doreen Fox.
Also on display was craftwork which had been made throughout the year.
Members also heard from Alison Rouse who spoke about reflexology and also gave a demonstration.
Everyone was impressed by what she could tell about a person's health just by massaging their feet.
There was good weather on a coach trip to Essex.
Members stopped at Burnham on Crough for lunch, with time to look at the yachts.
In the afternoon a two-hour boat trip with tea and cakes was very restful.
Next month is the harvest meeting and new members are welcome. The group meets the third Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm at the Community Centre, Birchwood Drive.
