VOLUNTEERS are needed to help survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Gravesend-based charity Family Matters is looking for people to become trained as counsellors.
The organisation, based in Wrotham Road, Gravesend, provides counselling to survivors of childhood sexual abuse and rape in Kent and south east London.
Family Matters is offering free counselling skills and theory courses to start at the end of the year.
The not-for-profit group guarantees counselling placements for all students who take the courses once they have reached the required standard.
A Family Matters spokesman said: "As a counselling organisation we are in an ideal position to provide counselling training as it understands the value of therapy in dealing with childhood and other trauma."
