GET active rather than fat is the message behind a new campaign.
Active Bromley aims to encourage residents to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Bromley Mytime is launching the campaign with walkathons in Crystal Palace Park on September 17 and Darrick Wood on September 24.
Campaign co-ordinator Annie Holden said: "Active Bromley aims to get people more active more often.
"You don't need to be a sports fanatic to stay healthy.
"All that is required is 30 minutes' activity five times a week, enough to make you feel slightly out of breath and warm.
"Walking and gardening are everyday activities which are ideal because they can be built into your daily routine."
Bromley Mytime is a charitable leisure trust which works in partnership with the council.
