A EUROPEAN grant will enable a pottery centre to help more people recover from mental illness.
Orpington-based Credo has been awarded almost £3,000 from the European Union's social fund to run free ceramics classes.
The taster courses, which will be held at Bromley United Reformed Church halls, Widmore Road, Bromley, aim to build people's confidence and self-esteem as well as unlock hidden creativity and potential.
Credo chairman Emily Bones said: "Our aim has to be to move the bar even higher and exceed those standards of excellence which we set last year.
"This is real validation which small projects such as Credo really can make a difference to people's lives and wellbeing and in such a creative an innovative way."
Credo currently helps about 100 people a year. Call 07701 095256 or email Credo at credo-outreach@ntlworld.com for details about the workshops which take place from 10am to 3pm from October 19.
