MAN ASSAULTED: A 46-year-old is being treated in hospital for serious head injuries after an attack opposite Thamesmere Leisure Centre, Thamesmere Drive, at 12.25am on September 2.
SAFER PARKS: A new poster campaign has been launched by Lewisham Council to promote its Visibly Safer parks campaign. Residents are being reminded the council has a team of 32 across the borough's six parks which monitor the grounds to ensure visitor safety. For information, visit lewisham.gov.uk
REMEMBERING AGATHA: Mathew Pritchard, heir and grandson of Agatha Christie, will be at Lewisham Library, Lewisham High Street, to read to schoolchildren and present books to the library at 10am on September 11. It begins a week of celebrations to commemorate the famous author.
