BEXLEY'S Tory councillors are the latest to voice their concerns about cuts in services proposed by the Bexley Care Trust.
MPs John Austin and David Evennett have already written to the trust as they are unhappy about the effects some of the cuts will have on services.
Bexley Council cabinet member for health and adult care Councillor Sharon Massey has criticised the lack of detail in the trust's consultation document and the timing of the consultation - during the summer holiday period.
Proposals include axing out-of-hours family planning clinics, withdrawing from personal health and social education classes in schools and dropping speech and language therapy in schools.
There are also proposals to cut back podiatry services, reduce district nursing from a 23-hour service to daytime only and axing the specialist Parkinson's disease nurse.
Council leader Councillor Ian Clement said: "Locally the NHS faces a tough time and it is our job to scrutinise any changes in services and to fight to ensure we get the best deal for Bexley residents."
The outcome of the consultation is likely to be known in the next few weeks.
