A REPORT which looks at improving journeys to and around an airport has been released.
The new Surface Access Strategy, issued by Biggin Hill airport, aims to cater for airport staff as well as cyclists and walkers around the area.
The report includes the results of a survey which shows one third of staff already use "sustainable modes" of transport to get to work.
As a next step, the airport, in Main Road, Biggin Hill, will begin rolling out travel information, obtain discounts on public transport and introduce a car sharing scheme.
Airport director Peter Lonergan said: "There is already a fair amount of car sharing.
"However, there are areas where improvements would make journeys easier."
Following the publication of its Master Plan earlier this year, the airport has worked with its businesses, councils and transport providers to prepare its Airport Surface Access Strategy, which will be reviewed annually.
Airports are encouraged to produce such reports by the Government following the White Paper of 2003 which set out a national airport's policy framework.
