A PIONEERING new clinic has been opened by Bexley Care Trust at Erith Health Centre in Erith High Street.
Staffed by community nurses, it will offer a range of services and if it is successful, it will be the model for more across the borough.
The clinic opened on August 31 and runs from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 1pm. It will be available to patients from the north of the borough, referred by other health professionals.
If it proves popular, its hours could be extended to open early morning, evenings and at weekends.
Instead of having to wait for a community nurse to visit them at home, patients who are able, will be able to book a convenient appointment at the health centre to receive their treatment, advice and support.
