AGE Concern Bexley has launched a campaign to save what remains of the borough's sub post offices.
The charity, which campaigns and offers support and services for older people, says the post offices are a lifeline for them.
It says thousands of post offices, not just in Bexley but across the country, are in danger if the Government decides to withdraw its subsidy.
Already post offices have lost a number of contracts such as issuing television licences and paying pensions.
Age Concern is urging older people to support its nationwide Stamped Out? campaign by supporting their post office.
For details of the campaign go to ace.org.uk/ stamped_out.asp or call 020 8300 0883.
