A FAMILY fun day has been held to highlight the problems affecting a heath.
The event on the Swan Lane football pitches on Dartford Heath offered attractions including bouncy castles, climbing walls, face painting and treasure trails.
It was organised by Kent fire and police services, Dartford Council and residents.
Portfolio holder for parks and spaces Councillor Patsy Thurlow said: "Dartford Heath is a wonderful open space with beautiful scenery.
"We're working hard along with residents and the emergency services to ensure the heath shakes off its anti- social behaviour problems and is returned to the people of the town."
The heath has been blighted by incidents of violent crime, arson and people riding motorbikes.
