SHOPPERS on Bromley High Street were in for a surprise when veteran entertainer Lionel Blair hosted a dance demonstration to promote the show Simply Ballroom, which comes to the Churchill Theatre next week.

Lionel was joined by some of his top dancers to give people a taste of the stage show by performing the waltz, jive and salsa.

Simply Ballroom features 16 dance champions, a live orchestra and choreography by TV's Strictly Come Dancing stars Erin Boag and Anton Du Beke.

The show explores the 10 ballroom dance styles including the tango, Paso Doble, foxtrot and cha cha.
