RAIN did not dampen spirits at a town's carnival. Hundreds of visitors to the event in Norman Park enjoyed live performances from acts including U2 tribute band Blood Red Sky.
They also went on fairground rides and slides and won prizes at the stalls dotted around the park in Hayes Lane, Bromley.
All proceeds from the Bromley Lions organised event will go to charities in the area.
It is not yet known how much was raised but Lions secretary Denise Balcome thinks it will be less than last year because of the morning's heavy rain.
But Ms Balcome says visitors still had a good time.
She said: "People were jovial about the weather.
"None of the stalls packed up and went home and it was all for a good cause."
