A CANNABIS factory has been discovered in Brockley following an early morning police raid.
Officers from Ladywell safer neighbourhoods team (SNT) recovered more than 200 cannabis plants yesterday morning (June 3) from an address in Ivy Road.
After executing a drugs warrant, the team who were joined by officers from Crofton Park and Telegraph Hill SNT, entered the address at around 7.30am and discovered a cannabis factory in full operation.
They found specialist lighting and a complex electricity set-up in place to heat the plants.
Electricity engineers also attended to make the premises safe.
A 16-year-old girl was arrested by officers for cultivation of cannabis, theft of electricity and on suspicion of money laundering.
She remains in custody at a South London police station.
Police Sergeant David Hawtin of Ladywell SNT said: “We will continue to work with the local community to disrupt this criminal enterprise.
“We will not tolerate drug use and drug cultivation and act upon any information received in order to protect the safety of the people on our ward.”
