A LITTLE-KNOWN art group is staging its latest exhibition on its home turf.
The Botanical Art Group, based at Hall Place in Bourne Road, Bexley, specialises in an area of art which is not for the faint hearted.
It involves using a magnifying glass to copy plants accurately.
The group was formed last year by artists with a common love of flowers, gardening and art, although some have been painting botanical art since 2000.
They have all also studied through botanical art classes across the country which has enabled them to develop their ideas and techniques.
With the hot houses and nurseries at Hall Place, they have a rich source of subject matter.
An exhibition of their work, Flora of the Seasons, opens in the Chapel Gallery at Hall Place on September 9 and runs until October 4.
Admission is free and the gallery has wheelchair access.
