PEOPLE affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) - one of the UK's most devastating neurological conditions - are coming together from across Kent on September 23 to hear experts in research and social care talk about everything from the latest in clinical trials to living with MS.
The Kent Region of the MS Society is putting on its annual regional conference and family day at Hop Farm, near Paddock Wood, from 10am until 4.30pm.
Guest speakers include MS expert Dr Peter Brex, a leading neurologist from King's College Hospital in London, who will talk about the latest research, Oliver Mills, from KCC Adult Social Services, and Tony Kennan, the chairman of the UK MS Society.
There will be a range of information stands about MS, including representatives from the Asian MS support group and the young people's group.
Local MS Society branches will also be on hand to explain how they can help with everything from grants for home adaptations and mobility aids through to putting people with MS in touch with MS nurses and other specialists, such as occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
In between presentations, visitors and their families can visit the Hop Farm attractions including the first Paws in the Park dog show.
There is no charge to people affected by MS and their families. To obtain free tickets and/or further information call 01322 408908 or 01622 758510.
