BEXLEY Heritage Trust, which manages Danson House, has applied to Bexley Council to extend its current alcohol and entertainment licence.
The Palladian mansion in Danson Park, Welling, was recently restored by English Heritage at a cost of £4.3m and was reopened to the public in July last year.
It is currently licensed to sell alcohol seven days a week between 11am and 6pm and also for regulated entertainment between 11am and 11pm.
The trust wants to extend the licence to cover not just the house but also its grounds, where it plans to erect a marquee between May and September for up to eight events which would need a licence each year.
It also wants to include the performance of plays among its activities at the house.
And it wants to change the licensed hours for both entertainment and alcohol sales to 10am to 11.30pm Monday to Thursday; 10am to midnight on Fridays; 10am to 12.30am on Saturdays and noon until 11.30pm on Sundays.
