THE history of paper making in the Darenth Valley will kick-start a season of lectures at Crayford Manor House Historical and Archaelogical Society.
The society meets monthly at 7pm in the Baker Trust Hall, Maxim Road, Crayford. Lectures start at 7.30pm.
Other subjects on the winter programme include the carvings of Grinling Gibbons, the history and conservation of Ightham Mote, wine, ships and pirates and 150 amusing years of Kent libraries.
The society, which also has a summer programme of excursions, welcomes non members to its lectures for an admission fee of £2.
