CUBS have enjoyed taking part in an action packed weekend away.
More than a dozen youngsters from the 1st Galley Hill Cubs, based in Church Road, Swanscombe, visited an activity centre in Orpington.
The group visits the Downe Scout Activity Centre in Birdhouse Lane for a summer camp once every three years.
Youngsters aged between eight and 10 spent the weekend sleeping in the woods and singing camp fire songs.
They also took part in activities such as go-karting, abseiling and archery.
Cub leader Ann Read, who has run the group since 1980, says the weekend is a chance for the children to challenge themselves.
She said: "They got to spend the weekend playing in the woods trying new activities and some even faced their fears.
"It was a great weekend and we couldn't have asked for more."
