RESIDENTS will get the chance to glimpse the past at heritage open days.
About 30 of the borough's historic buildings are opening their doors to the public for free.
The four-day event being organised by Dartford Council starts on September 7.
Venues already signed up include Swanscombe Heritage Park and The Manor Gatehouse.
The Manor Gatehouse, Priory Road, Dartford, was built for Henry VIII between 1541 and 1544.
Councillors and event organisers have already been given a sneak preview of the Tudor attraction.
They were given a tour around the building by its registrar, Harold Craske.
Lead member for leisure Councillor Patsy Thurlow said: "The open days will not only encourage access to those which are normally closed but also highlight the wonderful buildings we have which are open all through the year."
