THERE was a very special reason why Katie-Anne Gresley, 16, was anxious to do well in her GCSE exams at St Catherine's RC Girls' School in Bexleyheath.
Three years ago Katie-Anne's younger sister Alison, died aged nine, from bone cancer.
Following her death, Katie-Anne decided she wanted to be a doctor and work with other cancer sufferers.
Now, with nine A* exams to her credit, she is on the way to achieving her ambition.
She said: "It woild be a nice way for my sister's name to live on, if I can do something to help other people."
