ARSON: A fire at two portable buildings in Leyton Cross Road, Wilmington, caused £8,000 worth of damage. Plastic goalposts and corner flags were destroyed in the buildings, owned by Hayden Youth Association. The arson attack happened between 3pm and 4.15pm on August 18. Call police on 01474 565064.
IN COURT: Kenneth Leadbeater, former councillor and leader of Dartford Council, will appear at Maidstone Crown Court, on September 4. Leadbeater, of Watermill Way, Sutton-at-Hone, pleaded guilty to 14 charges of downloading images of child pornography at Dartford Magistrates' Court on June 9.
CLEAN UP: Dartford Council's Deep Clean team will take on the ward of New Town in September. Residents are asked to join in the tidy-up by meeting at 10.30am at the entrance to St Edmund's Pleasance, West View Road, on September 5. Call 01322 343353.
