HARKING back to the reputation of activities in the back row at the pictures, a block of flats built on the site of a former cinema is enjoying a baby boom.
Chaplin House, in Sidcup High Street, was built on the site of the old ABC cinema and, according to Laura Gibbons, the residents just can't stop producing babies.
When couples started moving into the 28 privately-owned flats in February last year, they had only four children between them.
Now, according to 27-year-old resident Mrs Gibbons, there are 13, with another two on the way.
The oldest of the new arrivals is 10 months and the youngest - at the time of going to press - was just two weeks.
She joked: "When we realised what was happening, I told new residents not to drink the water."
Mrs Gibbons is also part of the baby boom after giving birth to her second child seven weeks ago.
She added: "It must be all the fresh air in Sidcup."
