A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a collision near a busy road junction.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened in Bexley Lane, Sidcup, near the junction of Faraday Avenue at about 5.15pm on August 22.

The motorcyclist, 45-year-old Richard Godley, from Epsom, Surrey, was travelling towards Sidcup when he collided with two cars.

The drivers of the cars, a blue Peugeot 206 and a silver Toyota Starlet, who were travelling in the opposite direction, both stopped and gave their details to police.

No arrests have been made.

A post-mortem examination at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, showed Mr Godley died from multiple injuries.

An inquest into Mr Godley's death was opened at Croydon Coroner's Court last Friday and adjourned to a date to be fixed.
