HOSPICE patients put on their summer clothes despite the rain to enjoy a party with a beach theme.
The Lions Hospice, Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, hosted a day of activities at its first summer party.
There was a barrel organ to welcome people in as well as hoopla and quizzes.
The room was transformed after an artist painted a beach design mural on white paper attached to large screens.
More than 20 patients also enjoyed a chocolate fountain and jelly and ice cream.
The party was paid for by staff, volunteers and local businesses.
A spokesman said: "We converted downstairs into a beach and everyone dressed in their summer clothes."
