YOUNGSTERS have been getting a taste of different sports in a bid to encourage them to become more active.
And British 800m Paralympics gold medalist and world champion Danny Crates was there to urge them on.
The Broadway shopping mall in Bexleyheath teamed up with Sport England and Youth Active for 11 days of sporting activity.
Enlisting the help of clubs, youngsters were able to take part in free taster sessions of sports such as karate, scuba diving, trampolining and street dance and had the chance to win a medal.
One of the clubs taking part, the KTB martial arts academy based in Bexley Road, Northumberland Heath, also received £250 towards its work with young people from The Mall and Youth Active.
Mr Crates, who signed autographs and gave sporting tips, also encouraged everyone to get involved in the Everyday Sport campaign.
