HUNDREDS of homes have been left without phonelines and internet connections after cables were cut.

Many Brockley residents have been without a connection since yesterday after the phone cables were damaged in Lucas Street, Deptford.

And some customers have been told the problem will not be fixed until March 28.

A spokeswoman for BT said the company’s engineers were “working 24-7” to fix the problem.

She said: “We’re starting to see phonelines come back on. It’s going to take time.”

The spokeswoman added: “We’d hope that everyone would be back up by the 28th.”
