Biggin Hill & Westerham Lions Club's Quiz Night on Saturday (19/3/2011) was their 'breast ever' according to Lion President Malcolm Lowing.
The event at St Theresa's Church Hall Haig Road raised £600 for The South East London Breast Cancer Trust to help fund the operation of a Lymph Node Analyser at the Princess Royal University Hospital at Farnborough.
Lion Malcolm said "The hall was full to capacity with 14 teams taking part" An enjoyable and informative evening was had thanks to our excellent Quiz Master Paul Bailey-Smith.
A successful raffle boosted the proceeds thanks to generous doantions of prizes from local businesses. Malcolm said "we are grateful to all the businesses who donated prizes including TMC Gaspower, Sunningvale Garage, Waitrose and James Harper Funeral Directors (who also fielded a team). We are also grateful to Bromley MyTime who donated 2 free swims for every participant. I'm also like to thank Westerham & Biggin Hill Rotary Club who fielded three teams.
