YOUNGSTERS are fighting their way off the streets and into sport.
Round One Boxing Club had a party to celebrate the opening of its new training school.
The event was held at the club's new home, Miracles Youth Centre, Windsor Road, Gravesend.
The 80-member club previously trained at Tenants Community Social Club, Whitehill Road, Gravesend, and has been running for three years.
Former kick-boxing champion OJ Larmond runs the club aimed at six to 60-year-olds.
More than 90 youngsters turned up to find out more about the sport.
Young fighters tried their hand at sparring in the ring and watching boxing displays. They were rewarded for their efforts with a free barbecue.
Mr Larmond says the August 19 event was a huge success.
The 43-year-old said: "Boxing is a good way of getting kids off the streets to take part in a really exciting sport."
