A PARK'S redevelopment is one step closer after the appointment of an architect to draw up plans.
The plans for Crystal Palace Park will build upon the draft ideas published by the London Development Agency (LDA) last year.
They are expected to take a year to complete.
The LDA will then submit a planning application to Bromley Council in autumn next year based on the plans produced by Latz and Partners.
This application will include detailed proposals for the listed buildings in the park, such as the National Sports Centre, and on the proposed new entrance areas.
An LDA spokesman said: "We are delighted to get Latz and Partners to plan the future of Crystal Palace Park.
"Their job is to turn the LDA's vision for a greener, revitalised park into a reality."
