RESIDENTS are being invited to take part in a series of guided talks and walks across ancient woodland.
West Wickham Common, which boasts the national Green Flag award for green spaces and parks, will reveal its history during the events next month.
The land forms part of London's remaining 80 acres of heathlands and is home to oak trees more than 600-years-old.
Residents are invited to the free events on September 13 and September 17 where they can take part in guided walks, enjoy hot drinks and receive training in practical conservation skills.
Keeper David Olliver said: "No experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a desire to help protect this valuable habitat."
