A CAR-JACKING in Sydenham has prompted police to offer words of advice.
Police were called to Sydenham Hill at approximately 9.20pm on February 25 by a woman whose car had been stolen.
It is believed the suspect flagged the victim down saying he had a flat tyre. When she got out of the car to look, another man jumped into her car and drove off.
No one was injured and no arrests have been made.
The first suspect is described as a white male aged approximately 18 years old with fair hair.
The second suspect is described as a white male aged approximately 23 years old of stocky build.
PC Helen Bezer from Lewisham CID said: “We would advise the public to be vigilant. Do not stop if you are approached unless you think there really is a safety problem. Always ensure that the vehicle is locked before leaving it.
“We would like to appeal to anyone who may have seen this incident or knows the suspects.”
