The Royal Marines Portsmouth
ONE of the worlds top military bands is expected to give a stirring musical performance when it comes to Dartford's Orchard Theatre in September.
The Band Of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Portsmouth has a distinguished heritage which can be traced back to the 18th Century.
For many years band members were stationed aboard the royal yacht Britannia travelling all over the world.
They played at many historic events such as official hand-over of Hong Kong in 1997.
Engagements back on home ground have included The Queen's coronation in 1953, Churchill's state funeral and the 1966 World Cup Final.
