DANCE-MAD residents took the chance to be TV stars for the day.
More than 30 Swanley residents took part in the national Big Dance Festival, a week-long celebration of dance held across the UK.
They were part of the weekly Ez Steps R'n'B dance classes which have been running in Swanley since last December.
They performed on Brighton beach at low tide.
Dancers aged between 12 and 16 performed a piece called Where The Land Meets The Sea, while they were filmed by BBC1 for Dancing in the Street, hosted by Bruce Forsyth and Zoe Ball.
The dance classes are part of Sevenoaks Council's Healthy Lifestyles Project.
Project co-ordinator Rebecca Perkins said: "They had a fantastic time and gained so much confidence.
"They met lots of other dancers and were on TV."
