A RIDING group for disabled children has received a grant of £10,000.
Arrow Riding School for the Disabled, based in Darenth Park Avenue, Dartford, was awarded the money from Kent County Council's (KCC) Small Capital Grant Scheme for Sport.
It will use the money to provide horses for disabled riders and improvements to disability access.
The grant is part of £71,000 allocated to 10 sports organisations across the county to help develop facilities.
Cabinet member for communities Councillor Mike Hill said: "The grants will do a great deal towards helping the community enjoy a range of sports with improved facilities and equipment."
Organisations can submit requests for funding via KCC's sports development unit.
