AN Olympic gold medalist visited north Kent this week to coach young cyclists and discuss a new sporting academy.
Jamie Staff MBE, spent a morning with 20 cyclists from the Team Darenth Go Ride club at Wilmington Enterprise College in Common Lane, Dartford on February 21.
Mr Staff also visited the site of the north Kent Cyclopark, situated by the A2 in Dartford, which is set to be completed by next year.
The star is also in talks with Cyclopark staff to set up his Jamie Staff Academy to coach up and coming cyclists in the area.
He said: “I can’t wait to see Cyclopark provide inspiration for beginners, and hopefully develop Olympic and Paralympic champions of the future.”
