RESIDENTS are getting together to clear out rubbish.
Kent County Council (KCC) warden Kim Hill has organised a clean-up in Westcourt, Gravesend, to improve the condition of the area.
It will be carried out by residents, people from the KCC-led youth offending team and staff from Gravesham Council.
The clean-up is a joint effort between KCC, Gravesham Council and environmental charity Groundwork.
Groundwork is a charity which works on environmental projects to improve communities.
Volunteers will spend five hours ridding Westcourt of litter, scrubbing graffiti off walls and weeding.
Mrs Hill said: "Anyone is welcome to come along and help out.
"I feel by clearing up the area it will help to make people feel better and take more care of their surroundings."
Volunteers should meet in St Gregory's Court at 9.30am on August 24.
