WOMEN and girls are teaming up to put on a night of dance to promote cultural diversity.
Youngsters from Northfleet School for Girls have teamed up with the Gravesend Soroptimist Club for the event on September 9 involving six different types of dance.
The club, a group of 40 businesswomen, has organised the event to promote understanding about the borough's different cultures.
Hindu, Irish and Bollywood dancing will on offer at the event, which will be held at the school in Hall Road, Northfleet, between 6pm and 9.30pm.
The schoolgirls, aged 13 and 14, will sell hand-made cards and revellers can feast on a vegetarian buffet.
Money raised will be given to charities including the British Heart Foundation.
Club president Farida Usman said: "It will be a vibrant evening and people will get the chance to see the talent on offer across different communities within the area."
