TWO men have appeared in court following an armed robbery at Sydenham railway station.
One man armed with a gun and another man with a machete-style knife, entered the station and threatened a member of staff in the booking office at 8pm on August 3.
Edward Woodbridge, aged 29, and Richard MacDonald, aged 44, from the Bermondsey area, appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with robbery, committing an offence with a firearm and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
MacDonald was also charged with escaping prison.
They appeared in court yesterday and were remanded in custody.
They are due to appear at Middlesex Crown Court on November 9.
