THERE will be plenty of polishing to do when pupils at one school arrive back after the summer holidays.
The children from St Thomas More RC Primary School, Sheldon Road, Bexleyheath, will be anxious to keep a shine on the the silverware they picked up last term.
The girls' football team won three tournaments, reached the semi-finals of the Kent county competition and one team member was chosen to be part of the Bexley team for the London Youth Games.
The school's tag rugby team took part in the Dartfordians RFC tournaments, bringing home two cups, while fellow squad members reached the finals of the Old Elthamians RFC tournament and were cup runners up in the borough tournament.
One of the rugby teams qualified for the Kent tag tournament and came second.
And not to be left out, the girls' netball team were runners-up in the Bexley schools tournament, while the mixed team won the Bexley champions cup and represented the borough in the youth games.
Also in the trophy cabinet will be the awards the school won in the Bexley primary maths quiz and the Bexley primary quiz.
