A SHOP worker has celebrated working at the same store for four decades.
Susan Baldwin started working behind the counter at Boots the chemist's Rushey Green branch on August 8, 1966.
She left Catford Girls' School, Bellingham Road, at 16 and after a two-week holiday, joined the world of work.
After 25 years of service, she was presented with an engraved watch for her loyalty and to mark the occasion of her reaching 40 years, she has been given £300 of Boots store vouchers.
Miss Baldwin, of Fordel Road, Catford, said: "I never expected to work here this long.
"To be honest, not a great deal has changed here, people are generally the same as they have always been."
"I have had a good time so far and I enjoy it."
