POLICE are appealing for information after an arson attack on a home in Lewisham.
They believe an accelerant was poured through the letterbox of the property in Romborough Way.
The residents of the property were not at home and firefighters put out the small fire in the hallway.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Richard Mernagh, from Lewisham CID, said: "This was a dangerous and reckless thing to do and could have resulted in serious damage to the property or injury to the residents.
"I appeal to the community to get in touch with the police and tell us anything they may know about this incident."
