The first colour print competition of the new 2011 season for the Orpington Photographic Society welcomed judge Mike Gleave ARPS DPAGB from Bromley Camera Club.
With three classes Mike commented on every print and gave the following top (20) scores: Class3: Presenting his first colour print, Barry Duffield got 20 with "Boat 96"; other 20 point awards went to "Economy Class" by George Forster; Class 2: "Smooth and Rough" by Paul Griffiths got 20; "Power Transmission" by Tony Seppings; "Six people in orange" by Tracey Elvidge and in Class 1: "Market Trader" and "Patterns of Nature" by John Abrook FRPS; "Hang on a minute" by David Grimwade and "September morn'" by Jan Gilkes all got top marks.
The Orpington Photographic Society meet regularly every Tuesday at The Small Hall, Christ Church, Charterhouse Road, Orpington at 7.30pm and welcome newcomers.

Just a reminder the Spring Exhibition (of Mono Prints and Slides) is on at Coolings Garden Centre Rushmore Hill Knockholt on the weekend of March 12 and 13. Please come along to see the examples of the Society.
