AFTER seeing the old photograph alongside Margaret's Memories, recently featured in News Shopper, of a 1952 class of girls from Charterhouse Road School, Bromley resident Douglas Ford remembered he had some old school pictures too.
Douglas said: "We were all pupils of Dalmain Road School in Forest Hill.
"We were evacuated to Redhill in Surrey where this picture was taken one sunny afternoon in 1940.
"We were all about 11-years-old.
"The teacher in the background is Miss Peskett and I assume the photo was taken by Mr F B Freeman, the other teacher with us at the school.
"After the Second World War he lived in Orpington."
Douglas says he is not in contact with any of his old classmates and the only name he recalls is Rita Finfer, fifth from the left on the front row.
