AN MBE and police committee member has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a teenager five times.
Croydon Crown Court heard how father-of-two Jamnadas Sudra kissed and touched the 15-year-old who was in his shop in Church Row, Chislehurst.
The offences occurred once on November 26, twice on December 3 and twice on December 10 last year.
Sudra, who was made an MBE in December 1996 for services to the community, denied five counts of sexual assault.
He told the court on August 10 how he was happily married to his wife who worked with him in the shop and he had three grandchildren.
The 69-year-old member of the Bromley Police Community Liaison Committee, known locally as "Jimmy", was remanded on bail until September 6 for sentencing by Judge Simon Pratt.
The probation service is preparing a report.
