RESIDENTS and businesses are being invited to become involved in the recruitment of new police officers.
At present, a 31-week Metropolitan Police Service course is running at Orpington police station.
Out of the 31 recruits taking part, 16 of them are expected to join Bromley police in January.
One of the focuses of the training sees the would-be officers undertake practical role-plays in the community.
To date, a residential road has been used for a mock investigation and shops have been used for mock arrests.
If you would like to become involved in these operations in future, call Sergeant Tanya Dovey or Sergeant Rob Smith on 020 8284 8135.
