LICENSING chiefs have refused an application to allow a food store to sell alcohol until 3am every day.
Members of Greenwich Council's licensing committee threw out the application on the grounds later hours would create a public nuisance.
ARD Food Store, Blackheath Hill, Greenwich, currently has a licence to sell alcohol from 8am to 11pm from Monday to Saturday and on Sundays from 10am to 10.30pm.
The decision to reject the 3am licence to applicants Ali Pekin and Ali Dogan comes after the committee refused a 24-hour licence for the store in March.
Objections from two residents were considered by licensing members at the August 10 meeting.
ARD Food Store is located in a parade of fast-food outlets and is near the George and Dragon pub. It is about 40m away from residential housing.
